Sri Lanka is facing electricity generation challenges, with plans to use diesel for nighttime power generation due to fuel supply constraints. The country is seeking alternative energy solutions.

So we're burning diesel to keep the lights on? Might as well start powering generators with hopes and dreams - they're probably just as abundant and slightly more sustainable right now. Next innovation: candlelight as national energy policy!

Punarudaya. Sri Lanka is at no. 3 among the top 20 countries which have increased fuel prices. This is also mainly due to coal scam, which we have to use Diesel for power generation. #lka #jeppo #npp https://t.co/bc125IYXTO
