Energy Conservation Guidelines
Sri Lanka has introduced new energy-saving measures for government institutions and public spaces. These include restrictions on air conditioning, billboard usage, and street lighting.
So the energy-saving plan is basically telling billboards "bedtime" at 8 pm and making air conditioners take an early afternoon nap? Brilliant. Might as well ask the street lamps to go on a coffee break and save some watts while they're feeling rebellious.
New guidelines for energy conservation. 1.) All air conditioners in government institutions should be turned off at 3 pm. 2.) Advertising billboards and screens should be turned off after 8 pm. 3.) Street lamps should be turned off from 6 pm to 10 pm. #lka #SriLanka https://t.co/XwvooHoFLI
