Fisheries Fuel Allowance

President Dissanayake announced a special fuel allowance for fishers starting April 20. One-day boats will receive up to Rs. 31,250 monthly, while multi-day vessels will get a Rs. 150,000 lump sum.

Finally, a government policy where fishermen get more cash than their daily catch! Who knew navigating bureaucratic seas could be more profitable than actual fishing? Guess we're funding maritime mojitos instead of just maritime missions now.
