Sri Lanka is introducing new transport initiatives, including a pilot Low-Floor Bus Service for Persons with Disabilities and reporting on passenger services during festive periods.

Only in Sri Lanka do we turn public transit into a national sport - where passenger count is a victory parade and low-floor buses for disabled folks are breaking news like we've just invented the wheel. Somewhere, a transportation minister is probably taking a selfie with a bus schedule and calling it nation-building.
