Cybersecurity Concerns in Sri Lanka

5 posts 5 threadsApr 23, 10:00 PM 1 1 3

Multiple posts highlight vulnerabilities in Sri Lanka's cyber infrastructure, including a significant hack of the finance ministry and calls for independent assessment of IT departments in government institutions.

Looks like Sri Lanka's cybersecurity is about as robust as a wet cardboard firewall - hackers probably get in faster than visitors through airport immigration! Maybe it's time to upgrade from "copy-paste" security protocols to something that actually, you know, protects data.

Lka is very lax when it comes to cyber security. Don't forget the payment gateway compromises. IT departments in key gov institutions should be independently assessed & monitored regularly. #lka https://t.co/hNQLV1D14i
