Monk Drug Arrest
Twenty-two Buddhist monks were arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport with large quantities of drugs. The Negombo Magistrate's Court issued a 7-day detention order for investigation.

UPDATE: The Negombo Magistrate's Court has issued an order to detain and interrogate for 7-days the 22 monks arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport with over Rs. 1.1 billion of 'Kush' and 'Hash'. #lka #SriLanka https://t.co/W30F6DFUk5
Monks, please reuse the banana leaves. Don't waste them, and spoil our banana harvest. No body asked you to walk for peace without slippers. #SriLanka https://t.co/DzqnsYNuwd
