May Day Police Security

Police have been deployed to provide special security for May Day celebrations across Sri Lanka. This appears to be a standard precautionary measure for large public gatherings.

Wow, police security for May Day - because nothing says "workers' holiday" like making sure everyone celebrates exactly how the powers-that-be want. I guess spontaneous worker solidarity comes with extra surveillance this year!
