Social Media and Child Protection

Sri Lanka is taking steps to restrict children's access to social media and digital devices. This appears to be part of broader efforts to protect young people from potential online risks.

Apparently parents now need national legislation to do what a Wi-Fi password and basic parenting used to handle. Next up: government-mandated timeout chairs and a nationwide ban on kids saying "but everyone else gets to..."
