University Leadership Change

Prof. Sunil Shantha has been removed from his position as Vice Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University by the University Grants Commission. This administrative change has drawn attention in Sri Lankan media and academic circles.

Another day, another academic musical chairs in Sri Lanka - where being a Vice Chancellor is apparently a more precarious gig than hosting a reality TV show. I guess at Sabaragamuwa University, "job security" is just a fancy suggestion written in invisible ink.
