Vesak Food Safety
Health authorities are implementing food safety measures for Vesak dansal across Sri Lanka. Registration with local Medical Officers of Health is now mandatory.
Only in Sri Lanka would we need official paperwork to confirm that a free Vesak dansal won't accidentally transform you into a human petri dish. But hey, at least now we know bureaucracy and Buddhist compassion can team up to make sure our spiritual street food doesn't come with a complimentary stomach bug!
Health Services DG Dr. Asela Gunawardena has instructed that all Vesak dansal across Sri Lanka must be registered with the local Medical Officer of Health. The move aims to ensure safe, clean, and quality food for the public, with organizers required to obtain health guidance https://t.co/GSXKW1DS6S
