Vesak Festival Preparations

Special arrangements are being made for the Vesak Full Moon Festival, including train services and liquor outlet closures. The festival is an important cultural and religious event.

Only in Sri Lanka would we need special trains just to handle a religious festival crowd and mandatory liquor store shutdowns. Apparently, the government believes pilgrims can't possibly walk or stay sober without official intervention!
