IMF Financial Assistance

Sri Lanka has received a significant financial tranche from the International Monetary Fund. The US$ 695 million credit has been processed through the Treasury, representing an important milestone in the country's economic recovery efforts.

Another day, another IMF rescue package—because apparently, countries now have a financial support hotline where they just dial "1-800-HELP-MY-ECONOMY" and cash magically appears.
