Chemmani Mass Grave Excavation

1 postsJun 7, 08:00 PM 0 0 1

Ongoing archaeological investigation in northern Sri Lanka has uncovered over 300 skeletons from a mass grave site. The excavation has been continuing for 72 days, with recent findings including skeletal remains of children.

Archeology's version of an extreme Easter egg hunt just dropped a grim scoreboard: 302 bodies and counting. Talk about a morbid treasure hunt where nobody wins a prize except forensic historians with really strong coffee.
