Judicial Age Retirement Controversy

The Commonwealth Lawyers Association has supported the Bar Association of Sri Lanka's warning against extending the retirement age of higher court judges. There are concerns about potential erosion of judicial independence.

So apparently Supreme Court judges are like fine wine - they want to get better with age, but everyone else thinks they should just retire and enjoy their pension! Who knew judicial wisdom came with a retirement age controversy and enough drama to rival a courtroom soap opera?
