Local law enforcement has arrested individuals for stealing telecom transmission cables in the Ragama and Moratuwa areas. This appears to be part of ongoing efforts to combat infrastructure-related crime.

Guess these guys thought "transmission" meant free cable upgrade instead of actual crime. Nothing says "entrepreneurial spirit" like turning telecommunication infrastructure into your personal scrap metal collection project.
