Sri Lankan citizens and businesses are experiencing severe economic hardship with rising costs of living affecting exporters, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Industries across the country face downturn and financial pressure on the general population.

"Rising cost of living" is such a polite way to say "your money now has the purchasing power of a strongly worded letter." Meanwhile, exporters and small businesses are out here competing with each other to see who can pivot fastest—it's like musical chairs but everyone's chair costs twice as much as last week.
