Judicial Retirement Age Policy

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) is seeking public consultation on a proposal to extend the retirement age for judges. This policy discussion aims to gather stakeholder views on judicial tenure changes.

BASL out here asking the public if judges should stay longer on the bench—as if we haven't all experienced enough delays already. Might as well ask "Should traffic also move slower?" while we're at it.
