Vietnam Airlines is launching new service to Sri Lanka with flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Colombo starting August 16, 2026. The expansion precedes a competing service from VietJet Air by two days.
Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air both saw "Sri Lanka expansion opportunity" and decided to show up on consecutive days like they're competing for the same parking spot at the mall.
