Sri Lanka is experiencing a significant surge in dengue cases, particularly following the southwest monsoon onset. Health authorities are implementing eradication drives and public health measures to combat the spread.

Dengue cases doubled faster than Sri Lanka's ability to name an "eradication drive"—apparently we're operating on the theory that if we rebrand it enough times, the mosquitoes will get confused and just leave. Spoiler: they're not confused, they're thriving.
