Sri Lankan health authorities have launched major dengue eradication initiatives across high-risk zones, particularly in the Western Province. The country has reported over 59,000 dengue cases this year, prompting coordinated control operations and awareness campaigns.

At this point, dengue isn't just a virus—it's a seasonal tradition in Sri Lanka, like monsoons and traffic. We've launched so many "special operations" in high-risk zones that they should just rename them "dengue resorts" and charge admission.
