Weather Warnings and Meteorological Alerts
The Department of Meteorology issued warnings for sea areas across Sri Lanka regarding rough sea conditions and gusty winds. Wave heights and wind speeds were forecasted to reach hazardous levels affecting maritime activities.
"Very rough seas until 11 a.m. tomorrow"—because apparently the ocean checks its watch and decides to chill out right on schedule, like it's clocking out from a shift at the DMV. Wave heights rising to 2.0-2.5 meters sounds terrifying until you realize this warning will be reposted 47 times with increasingly creative all-caps variations, each one more convinced it's personally responsible for saving lives.
