Australia is offering expert support to Sri Lanka for implementing a Wolbachia-based program to combat dengue fever. The initiative focuses on mosquito control and disease prevention through scientific intervention.

So Australia's sending us Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes to fight dengue—basically fighting fire with fire, except the fire is literally mosquitoes we're importing. Pretty sure this is how every sci-fi disaster movie starts, but hey, at least we'll have *expert-endorsed* bugs this time instead of just the regular ones plotting against us.
