Sri Lanka is experiencing a significant dengue fever outbreak with cases approaching 70,000 in the year. Health authorities are monitoring the disease spread across the country.

Sri Lanka hit 70,000 dengue cases and apparently decided that's a cute starter number—like "oh we're just getting warmed up, mosquitoes have more in them." At this point the national bird should just be a mosquito with a little flag.
