Police are warning the public about fraudulent schemes, particularly fake SMS messages demanding traffic fine payments. These scams pose risks to unsuspecting citizens.

Apparently our scammers have moved up from "You've won a prize!" to "You owe money!" — really showing that entrepreneurial spirit by just swapping which emotion they're exploiting. The police warning felt cute too, like we needed official confirmation that random texts demanding cash aren't legitimate government business.
