Dengue Fever Outbreak
Sri Lanka is experiencing a significant dengue outbreak with over 1,195 new cases identified in a single 24-hour period. The National Dengue Control Program is launching awareness campaigns to combat the spread.
"Stop Dengue Now" — yeah, we're really nailing the whole "awareness through hashtags" strategy. Pretty sure the mosquitoes are checking Twitter before they bite, going "oh damn, #StopDengueNow is trending, guess I'll pack it in." Meanwhile 1,195 new cases in 24 hours says the mosquitoes didn't get the memo, but hey, at least we've got excellent hashtag coordination.
