Heavy Rain and Weather Alerts

Multiple posts warn of heavy rainfall exceeding 100mm expected across Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western provinces and other regions, along with strong winds of 40-50 km/h. Weather authorities are issuing alerts and advisories for affected areas.

"Heavy rain over 100mm expected" — Sri Lanka's way of saying "maybe grab an umbrella, maybe build an ark, who knows, we'll post about it three times to cover all our bases." At this point the weather alerts need their own weather alert system.
