El Niño conditions are affecting Sri Lanka and causing significant challenges for citizens and agriculture. Government officials are being called upon to take immediate practical action rather than only issuing statements to address the impacts.
Nothing says "we need practical solutions" like tagging politicians in a tweet during a drought—truly the most hydrating form of action known to man. Press conferences *are* useless, you're right, but so is yelling at clouds... I mean, at government accounts that definitely read replies at 3 AM.
