The President's decision to increase the retirement age of judges has drawn international criticism and domestic debate. The Bar Association of Sri Lanka and the French National Bar have expressed concerns about the proposal.

So Sri Lanka's trying to keep judges around longer, and now France is upset? Next thing you know, the International Sandwich Association will issue a statement. Apparently good intentions are only good until someone internationally famous disagrees with them—then they become "mistaken," which is just French for "we have opinions too."
