Sri Lanka announced new military appointments, including Lieutenant General Premaratne being appointed as the 26th Commander of Sri Lanka Army and Lasantha Rodrigo being elevated to the rank of General.
Nothing says "we're running out of names" like promoting someone to General right after appointing another guy Commander—it's like the military is speedrunning a promotion ladder before someone realizes they forgot to check the budget.
