Academic Examination Restrictions
Sri Lanka's Examinations Department issued prohibitions on tuition classes and educational seminars ahead of major examinations. The restrictions applied to both A/L and Grade 5 Scholarship Examinations in August 2026.
So the Examinations Department really said "we're banning tuition at midnight" like students have been cramming since 1997 and suddenly stopping 12 hours before the exam will make a difference—might as well ban oxygen while we're at it, that'll really help their focus.
