Weather advisories and forecasts were issued for Sri Lanka including warnings about strong winds and temperature forecasts. Environmental incidents like shipping containers washing ashore were also reported.

Nothing says "breaking news" like a shipping container deciding to become a tourist attraction, while weather alerts frantically remind everyone that wind exists—as if we haven't figured that out by the time our roof's halfway to India.
