Economic Stagflation and Growth Concerns
Sri Lanka's economic growth forecasts are declining from 5% to 3% while inflation pressures are simultaneously building from energy costs. Global growth is also slowing to approximately 2.6% amid mounting monetary policy challenges.
So we're down to 3% growth while energy prices are doing backflips—basically the economic equivalent of trying to parallel park while the car's on fire. At least stagflation is honest; it's like inflation said "growth? Nah, let's just make everything expensive *and* boring."
Growth forecasts are falling, Sri Lanka's from 5% to 3%, global growth to roughly 2.6%, at the same time inflation pressures are building from the energy side. #srilanka #stagflation #inflation #globaleconomics #monetarypolicy #costpushinflation https://t.co/cTRjL7yXgu
