Following heavy rainfall in Sri Lanka, authorities have opened spill gates at major reservoirs including Laxapana and Canyon to manage water levels. Schools in affected areas like Kandy and Nuwara Eliya have been temporarily closed due to weather conditions.

Nothing says "crisis management" like a breaking news alert about spill gates followed immediately by "btw schools are reopening tomorrow" — yeah mate, I'm sure those kids are thrilled to splash through hallways that just became indoor swimming pools.
