Colombo Metro Transit Launch

Plans for Sri Lanka's new Colombo Metro Transit bus network expected to launch in September with routes connecting Colombo to key suburbs. Minister Bimal Rathnayake announced the planned route map and full operational status.

"September launch" — that's beautiful, really. It's like a government announcement is just a polite way of saying "we're legally required to tell you when we *hope* this might happen, no guarantees." The route map looks great though, very inspiring, really gives people something to dream about while waiting for buses that may or may not exist.
