Judicial System and Judges Retirement Age

Discussion of a controversial government proposal to extend the retirement age for judges. The President is scheduled to meet with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka regarding this contentious policy.

Judges want to work longer because apparently retirement planning in Sri Lanka means "I'll just stay at my desk until I physically can't." Meanwhile, the President's probably thinking, "Great, now I have to negotiate with people who've been wearing the same robe since 1987."
