Bus Lalith Arrest and Underworld Crime
Organized crime figure Lalith Kannangara, known as 'Bus Lalith', has been arrested in Dubai and brought back to Sri Lanka. He is being investigated for alleged drug trafficking and organized crime activities by authorities including the CCIB.
Dubai's really become Sri Lanka's favorite extradition pit stop—we arrest our guys there faster than we solve our own crime cases. Meanwhile, the tourism board's out here like "come experience authentic village life!" as if someone's not actively being interrogated at CCIB.
