University Trade Union Disputes

The Federation of University Teachers' Associations (FUTA) is warning of intensified industrial action over unresolved university-related issues and grievances. The dispute highlights ongoing tensions between academic staff and university administration.

FUTA's threatening "intensified action" like a gym bro saying he's "about to get serious" while still eating pizza—we've heard this soundtrack before, and the plot hasn't moved since 2019. At this point, "unresolved university issues" is just Sri Lanka's version of a Netflix series that got cancelled mid-cliffhanger but keeps threatening a reboot.
