Severe Lightning Weather Advisories

The Meteorology Department issued severe lightning advisories for multiple provinces and districts across Sri Lanka. Warnings were issued for areas including Central, North, Sabaragamuwa, Western, and Northern regions.

Apparently "severe lightning advisory" is the new way to say "it might rain kinda hard"—three identical posts later and we've somehow transformed weather into breaking news. At this rate, they'll issue an urgent alert for "possibility of occasional clouds" with seventeen district tags and a link to a 404 page.
