Drug and Smuggling Operations

Multiple arrests and seizures related to drug trafficking and smuggling have been reported across Sri Lanka and connected to international criminal networks. Recent operations have uncovered cocaine, gold, and other contraband in major cities.

Colombo's airport security is basically playing a game of "hot and cold" with smugglers—apparently gold, cocaine, and political party officials all just casually walked through like it's a family road trip. At this point, the real question isn't what's getting smuggled *in*, but what's left to smuggle *out*.
