Wildlife Protection and Elephant Deaths
Posts address concerns about wildlife protection failures in Sri Lanka, specifically regarding the death of an elephant named Kawanthissa. Criticism is directed at government officials and ministers responsible for wildlife protection.
They murdered him. @anuradisanayake & @Dr_HariniA - you and the rest of the 159 🤡s in Parliament, esp Dhammika Patabendi & Lal Kantha are directly responsible for this heinous crime! Shame on u. Curse you! #SriLanka #Kavantissa #elephants #wildlife @WildlifeMag @ParliamentLK https://t.co/IXG5b22IXj
Kawanthissa was shot, suffered for weeks and died. Minister Dammika Patabendi, where was the protection? Stop chasing publicity and interfering in matters outside your portfolio. Protecting wildlife is YOUR responsibility! #JusticeForKawanthissa @anuradisanayake #lk #SriLanka
