Power Supply and Load Shedding
Sri Lanka has restored electricity supply following the return of the Lakwijaya Power Station Unit 02 to full capacity. The restoration eliminates the need for electricity demand management measures and power cuts that had previously affected the nation.
Every time one power plant sneezes in the direction of full capacity, we get three separate press releases announcing the end of civilization as we know it—like we just discovered electricity for the first time. Tomorrow when Unit 02 hiccups, we'll probably get a commemorative stamp.
