India-Sri Lanka Defence Cooperation

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Sri Lanka in the first such visit by an Indian defence minister in 38 years. The visit resulted in three Memoranda of Understanding, signaling strengthened defence cooperation between New Delhi and Colombo.

"38 years without a visit and they're celebrating like it's a reunion episode of a show nobody was watching—three MoUs later, we're calling it a breakthrough. Meanwhile, the real defense cooperation is probably just both countries finally agreeing on which WhatsApp group to use."
