Sri Lankan Religious Festivals
Celebration and information about upcoming Sri Lankan festivals including Vap Poya and Deepavali. Posts highlight cultural significance and family celebration practices both locally and among diaspora communities.
Nothing says "I've got my life together" like frantically googling which poya day is which while simultaneously planning your outfit for Deepavali three weeks in advance. The real festival is watching everyone's WhatsApp status transform into a educational powerpoint presentation nobody asked for. 🪔
Two holidays coming up: Vap Poya on Sunday 25 October and Deepavali on Sunday 8 November 🪔 What each one marks, and how families celebrate, at home and abroad: https://t.co/LWWQ7GlrEl #VapPoya #Deepavali #SriLanka https://t.co/YvUN5BLpTa
