Sri Lanka Cricket Historic Chase
Sri Lanka achieved a record-breaking ODI chase against England, successfully hunting down 429 runs with minimal balls remaining. The victory featured standout performances from Pavan Rathnayake and Janith Liyanage, overshadowing England batsman Harry Brook's record 202.
England really said "we're gonna post 430 and that's basically a W" and then got chased down with literally one ball left—that's not a cricket match, that's a hostage situation where the hostage takers won on a technicality. Harry Brook's 202 deserved better than to be the cricket equivalent of ordering a pizza and watching someone else eat it while you pay the bill.
