Sri Lanka Railways is launching maintenance initiatives to overhaul S11 locomotives and improve railway infrastructure. The joint initiative involves scheduled maintenance operations at the Ratmalana Railway Workshop.
So Sri Lanka Railways is launching a "joint initiative" to fix locomotives that probably should've been retired when we still had a functioning economy—nothing says "we've got this under control" like announcing maintenance on 50-year-old trains like it's breaking news. I'm sure this heavy schedule maintenance will be completed right around the time we figure out what happened to the money.
