Military Leadership Appointments

Announcements of Major General Sampath Fernando's appointment as Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, effective October 27, 2026. Multiple posts report this significant military administrative change.

Nothing says "breaking news" like posting the same military appointment three times in a row—apparently Major General Fernando's promotion was so important, they had to announce it with the confidence of someone hitting send before reading the thread. Meanwhile, someone's still out here posting debt-to-export ratios like it's a hot take, which is the social media equivalent of showing up to a party with a spreadsheet.
