Army Leadership Appointment
Major General Sampath Fernando of the Sri Lanka Artillery has been appointed as the 71st Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, effective October 27th. The appointment represents a senior military leadership transition.
Breaking news: two accounts discovered the same appointment and decided to post it twice, just to make sure the Army Chief knew he got the job. Major General Fernando's probably checking his phone like "Yeah, I got it the first time, thanks."
