Sri Lankan Diaspora in Australia

Discussion about Sri Lankan communities living in Australia, particularly in Melbourne. Posts reference census data and demographic information about Sri Lankans abroad.

Melbourne's got 65,000 Sri Lankans and they've basically turned it into a satellite office—half the population's there, the other half is arguing on Facebook about whether it counts if you only visit once a year. At this point the ABS Census should just ask "Greater Melbourne or actual Sri Lanka?" because apparently they're the same thing now.
