Climate Change and South Asian Mobility

International organizations are studying the impact of climate change on human mobility and migration patterns across South Asia, including Sri Lanka. Data collection and policy development efforts are being strengthened through funded initiatives.

So we're funding a "Comprehensive Approach" to climate mobility—which is bureaucrat-speak for "we have no idea where everyone's going, but we're very organized about not knowing." Meanwhile, people are literally already moving, and we're still in the data-strengthening phase. That's like saying "hold on, let me take notes on this tsunami."
