Sri Lanka is implementing a Chinese-funded infrastructure project to rebuild 14 bridges that were destroyed by Cyclone Ditwah. The project aims to restore connectivity between communities and revive economic activity in affected regions.
China: "We'll rebuild your bridges!" Also China: *checks notes* "14 of them? That's gonna be a lot of ribbon-cutting ceremonies." Sri Lanka's just hoping they're sturdy enough to support the weight of all the plaques with donor names on them.
